Welcome to the Tutorial section of our website.  The articles here are intended to serve as resources for our fellow soaring pilots, as an introduction to some aspects of soaring that might not have occurred to future glider pilots and to help you decide if learning to fly sailplanes might be something you’d like to do.

As such, the material on these “Tutorials” pages isn’t copyrighted and may be reprinted free of charge in your club newsletter or other aviation publication; all we ask is that you credit Soar the Sierra LLC or www.soarthesierra.com as the source for the material.

From time to time we’ll use these pages to address various topics of interest to the gliding community or to current or potential sailplane pilots.  We welcome your suggestions regarding future articles on topics of interest to you.
